Components available for reports

Components are used to analyze building performance data from RC-Archive and external files, and present the results as charts with descriptive text and images. To add a component to a report layout, click the component icon to the right of the report canvas, or click and drag a component from the list to a specific location on the report canvas.

The following component types are available in RC-Reporter:

Component descriptions and usage

Date Range — Use the Date Range chart component if you want to see data plotted as a line, column, or stacked column chart, with a single date/time range as the x-axis. This component can be used like a trend log by setting the sample rate to every few minutes or for longer term calculations to produce a single calculated values for days, weeks, months, etc.

Contribution — Use the Contribution chart component if you want to display single calculated values as a portion of the whole, in either a pie or column chart. You can compare aggregate/rollup values against one another, for example, comparing total lighting energy to total heating energy for the last month.

Correlation — Use the Correlation chart component if you want to identify how one data series influences others.

Profile — Use the Profile chart component if you want to identify yearly, monthly, weekly, or daily trends and anomalies. This component allows data from multiple date/time ranges to be compared.

Ranking — Use the Ranking chart component to compare performance or consumption across multiple locations or devices and to show only the top and bottom results.

Periodic — Use the Periodic chart component to quickly compare trends in relation to previous time periods in days, weeks, months, or years.

Raw Data — Use the Raw Data table component to show the complete contents of a single data log.

Number Editor — Use the Number Editor component to change the value of a number used within other components on the same report.
