Granting access to online reports

Click Admin > Users to configure permissions for users. Only users with Admin and Approve Users permissions can see the Admin > Users option.

In order to access particular reports in RC-Reporter, users must have the following:

  • An account in RC-Reporter that is set to Enabled. Users with an enabled account can log on to the RC-Reporter website.
  • A report category assigned to their account that includes the reports they need to access.

Note: Report users with no special permissions assigned to their account can log on to RC‑Reporter and view reports, but cannot create or modify reports.

In addition to these permissions, report designers must have the Edit Reports permission assigned to their account.

Allowing a user to view particular reports

Use the following steps to allow a user to view only those reports assigned to specific categories:

  1. Click Admin > Users.
  2. On the Manage Users page, click the user name to modify.
  3. On the user page, under Web access, select Enabled in the Status box.
  4. Under Permissions, beside Permitted Report Categories, click the Plus icon.
  5. Select the report categories the user will be able to access.
  6. Click Save.

Allowing a report designer to create and edit reports

Use the following steps to allow a report designer to create and edit reports:

  1. Click Admin > Users.
  2. On the Manage Users page, click the user name to modify.
  3. On the user page, under Web access, select Enabled in the Status box.
  4. Under Permissions, select Edit Reports.
  5. Beside Permitted Report Categories, click the Plus icon.
  6. Select the report categories the user will be able to access and edit.
  7. Click Save.
