RC-Reporter licensing and subscriptions

RC-Reporter licensing is based on the number of unique points used in reports. A point is defined as a single hard or soft programmable object existing in a Reliable Controls or third-party BACnet device.

Each RC-Reporter license allows for a certain number of points that can be charted. A subscription for 12 months of free updates is included with the initial license purchase. Confirm your current licensing status by clicking Admin > Site Settings and viewing your License information on the Site Settings page.

Note: Without proper licensing, RC-Reporter will run in demonstration mode, allowing a maximum of 5 unique points to be charted.

You can use RC-LicenseManager to update licenses and transfer licenses between workstations. The RC-Key is the standard method for licensing RC-Reporter. Soft licensing should only be used if the physical server installation does not permit the use of an RC-Key.

Purchasing Point Licenses

RC-Reporter licenses are associated with part numbers. Refer to the appropriate part number when purchasing licenses from your local Reliable Controls Authorized Dealer.

RC-R3-100

• License allowing 100 unique points to be used in active reports
• Comes with RC-Key (USB Software Key)

RC-R3-100A

• Adds 100 points to existing license (must have previously purchased RC-R3-100)
• Upon purchase of the 24th unit of RC-R3-100A, the license is tagged as a site license, equivalent to RCR3- 2500

RC-R3-2500

• Site license allowing unrestricted number of unique points to be used in active reports
• Comes with RC-Key (USB Software Key)

RC-R3-S100

• License allowing 100 unique points to be used in active reports
• Comes with soft license (no USB Software Key required)

RC-R3-S100A

• Adds 100 points to existing soft license (must have previously purchased RC-R3-S100)
• Upon purchase of the 24th unit of RC-R3-S100A, the license is tagged as a site license, equivalent to RCR3-S2500

RC-R3-S2500

• Site license allowing unrestricted number of unique points to be used in active reports
• Comes with soft license (no USB Software Key required)

RC-R3-S

• Subscription for 12 months of online software updates
