The Site Settings page
Use the Site Settings page to configure and manage high-level information about the RC-Reporter site, including addressing, default settings, email server settings and license information. Only users with Admin Access permissions can access the Site Settings page.
Click Admin > Site Settings to display the Site Settings page containing the following options:
General
Site URL
Used by all users to access the RC-Reporter service to view and/or work on reports. The server name or IP address can be used. If it has been configured to use a non-standard port (8080 by default), enter the port number after the IP address, preceded by a colon. For example, the RC-Reporter web service could be configured to use http://Company.com:8080
Display
Title
(Optional) The site name that appears at the top of all pages within the website.
Decimal Places
The default number of digits to the right of the decimal point that will be used when displaying data. You can also set decimal place precision for individual data series within a component. See Decimal Places for more information about setting decimal places for a particular data series.
SMTP Server Name
The SMTP server that RC-Reporter uses to send scheduled reports. The SMTP server can be addressed using a name or IP, but the RC-Reporter server must have TCP/IP routing capabilities to the SMTP server. When addressing the SMTP server by name, ensure that the RC-Reporter server has hostname resolution to the SMTP server. To test this, ping the SMTP server by name using a command prompt on the RC-Reporter server.
SMTP Port
Typically port 25 is used for SMTP traffic, but the Network Administrator can set any port.
SMTP Encryption Method
SMTP encryption options. Set to None or TLS. If your email server requires TLS, this field must be set to TLS.
SMTP Sender Email address
The address entered will appear in the From: field of emails sent by RC-Reporter.
SMTP Sender Username
The user field should contain a valid user recognized by the SMTP server.
SMTP Sender Password
The password field should contain a valid password recognized by the SMTP server.
Test
Click Test to open a dialog box containing email options and a test version of an email. Click Send to validate that the email is distributed as expected.
Advanced
PDF Export Timeout (Minutes)
The number of minutes before a PDF export operation times out. The default value is 5 minutes, which should be adequate in most cases. You should only increase this value for a schedule report if it takes more than 5 minutes to generate.
License
USB-Key ID
Indicates the current licensing configuration for the RC-Reporter installation, which can be a valid RC-Key ID, a soft license, or TRIAL, depending on the type of licensing installed in the server.
Serial Number
A valid serial number associated with the license, or TRIAL if it is a trial license.
Customer Name
The customer's name associated with the license.
Points Licensed
The number of points licensed, Site License, or TRIAL.
Points in Use
The number of points being utilized.
Link to Used Points
The list of available used points.
Save
Click Save to save the site settings.
